Hello! I’m Dave Cole and welcome to Cook Sip Go. I am a travel and writer and photographer currently based in Nairobi. I am passionate about capturing the spirit of new destinations and exploring local cuisines.
I founded Cook Sip Go after practicing law for several years in New York. The chance to move to a new part of the world presented itself and my wife and I jumped. I have traveled to dozens of countries and am always eager to learn about and experience a new place.
A few facts about me:
Languages: Fluent English, Spanish and Portuguese. Proficient French. Passable German and Catalan. Enough Amharic to impress.
Favorite cuisine: Spanish.
I feel most at peace with the world when I’m on a morning game drive, with the safari car top up and the wind in my face.
I am a die-hard soccer fan and a supporter of Valencia C.F.
My first overseas trip was to Scotland.
I have a long list of countries I’d like to visit, but currently at the top of that list are: Oman, Rwanda, India, Malawi and Namibia.
